A glorious ride of just under 12 miles which starts on the ridge above Thixendale and follows roads and bridleways around till we can see right across to the Howardian Hills and (on a good day!) the North York Moors. We then descend into the sheltered valley where the village of Thixendale sits and follow another bridleway back up to our horseboxes. The ride has good canters and some hilly sections, with about a mile on a fairly busy road (by East Yorkshire standards!) to start with. Led by Janet Cochrane, start time 10am, entry fee �33.
