Entry Fees and Prizes Classes 1-41 Entry fees £6.00 per class per competitor. Or 3 classes for £15. Rosettes to 4th place. If 5 people or more in a class there will be prize money of; 1st - £8.00, 2nd - £5.00 and 3rd -£2.00. All entries in children's classes receive a rosette. Championships - Trophy and embroidered numnah for champion. £10 prize money for Reserve Champion. Class 42 - £2.00 per entry. Rosettes to 4th. Sweets for all children's entries Class 43 - 52 - £5.00 one payment per competitor to cover all children's/adults games. Competitors will gain points leading to rosettes for overall winners 1st to 4th. Class 53 - £3.00 Rosette for clear round. Classes 54 - 58 £5.00 per class. If 5 entries or more there will be prize money for 1st and 2nd. Rosettes to 4th. Classes 59 and 60 - £3.00 per horse and rider. Prizes as classes 53-57 Class 61- £3.00 per competitor Class 62 - £3.00 per competitor. All entries on the day. However it would be very helpful if competitors demonstrate interest in a class by calling or inbox us on Facebook which classes they intend to do. This will not commit you to entering. Ring 1- In Hand 9:30 AM start Children may enter any in hand classes, however an adult must accompany any children under the age of 8 years, with the exception of class 1a. Horses/ponies must be of appropriate size and temperament for the handler. Class 1a-Young Handler 12 years and under. Class 1b- Young Handler 12-16 years. Class to be split if enough entries. Class 2- Mountain and Moorland Class 3 - Shetland Full or miniature Class 4a- Traditional coloured ponies under 14.2h.h. Class 4b - Traditional coloured horses over 14.2hh Class to be split if enough entries Class 5a- Non Traditional coloured ponies under 14.2h.h. Class 5b -Non traditional coloured horses over 14.2hh Class to be split if enough entries Class 6- Veteran Horses and Ponies over 15 years. Class 7- Young Stock. Horses and ponies from the ages of 6 months to 3 years. Foals must be weaned and independent from the dam if they're to be shown. Class 8- Novice Horses/Ponies. Horses or ponies must be in their first year of showing. Class 9- Cob Type. Class 10- Hunter type. Class 11- Foreign Breeds. Class12- Part and cross breeds Class 13- Traditional breeds. In Hand Championship. 1st and 2nd places in classes 1-13 qualify for the in hand championship. Trophy and embroidered numnah presented to champion. Ring 2- Junior Ridden Classes 9:30 AM Start Class 14- Tack and Turnout; lead rein. 8 years and under Class 15- Tack and Turnout; junior Riders to be between the ages of 12 to 16 Class 16 - Lead rein Tiny tots best combination Open to riders aged 3, 4, 5 and 6. Lead rein to be attached to noseband only. Class 17- Lead rein Best Combination 8 Years and Under. Lead rein to be attached to noseband only. Class 18- Best Combination 13 Years and Under. Class 19- Best Combination 16 Years and Under. Class 20 - Novice/Nervous Young Rider Rider to be in first year of showing. Open to riders age 16 and younger. There will be no cantering as a whole ride. Class 21a - Lead Rein Junior Ridden Mountain and Moorland Riders to be 8 years and under. Lead rein to be attached to noseband only Class 21b- Junior Ridden Mountain and Moorland. Riders to be 16 years and under. Horse/pony to be a suitable size for the rider. Class to be split if enough entries. Class 22a- Lead rein Ridden Part Bred Lead rein to be attached to noseband only. Riders to be 8 years and under Class 22b- Ridden part Bred Riders to be 16 years and under. Class will be split if enough entries. Class 23a-Lead rein Ridden Coloured ponies Lead rein permitted, riders to be 8 years and under Class 23b- Ridden Coloured ponies Riders to be 16 years and under. Class to be split if enough entries. Class 28- Best Ridden Family Horse/Pony. Riders to be 16 years or over. Class 29a- Ridden Traditional Coloured. Skewbald, Piebald, Tri-coloured and Spotted. Horses and Ponies permitted. Riders to be 16 years or over. Class 29b- Ridden Non-traditional Coloured. Skewbald, Piebald, Tri-coloured and Spotted. Horses and Ponies permitted. Classes to be split if enough entries. Class 40- Intermediate Working Hunter Jumps not to exceed 75cm. Class 41- Open Working Hunter Jumps not to exceed 95cm. Working Hunter Championship. Those placed 1st and 2nd in classes 38-41 to qualify for the Working Hunter Championship Those who qualify will not have to jump again but will have to perform their ridden element of the class again. Competitors will gain points leading to rosettes for overall winners 1st to 4th Outdoor Ménage - Show Jumping 12:00 PM Start. Class 53- Clear Round. Jumps not to exceed 40cm Class 54- Jumps not to exceed 65cm. Class 55- Jumps not to exceed 75 cm. Class 56- Jumps not to exceed 85cm. Class 57- Jumps not to exceed 95 cm. Class 58- Jumps not to exceed 105cm. Class 59- Little Pairs! 2 horses/ ponies, 2 riders. Jumps not to exceed 50 cm. Lead rein permitted. Class 60- Large Pairs! As above, but jumps not to exceed 80cm Class 61- Whinny and Woof. Horse/pony and rider to jump a round of jumps not exceeding 55cm, followed by the competitor dismounting and jumping the same course of jumps with their dog. Fastest combined round wins! Class 62- Down and Out. Rules Smart appearance in all rings All ages for both horse and rider are taken from the 1st January in the current year. All riders/handlers must have attained their 3rd birthday in the 1st January in the current year. All horses and ponies must be 4 years or over to compete in a ridden class. The judge's decision is final The organisation reserve the right to alter, amalgamate or cancel classes if insufficient entries. Refunds will only be given in the event of cancelled classes. Competitors must wear riding hats to the current BSI safety standards, with chin straps fastened at all times when mounted. This includes under 16 year olds in the in hand classes. Any objection to be lodged within 10 minutes of the class closing, together with a £10 fee which will be returned if the objection is upheld. Where the objection relates to the age of a competitor, a valid form of ID will be required to prove their age. If this cannot be produced on the day than the objection will stand and the rider will be disqualified from the class and the prize will be handed to the next eligible competitor. Whips not to exceed 30 inches in length. Cruelty to a horse or pony will result in disqualification Dogs must be kept on a lead No mucking out of horseboxes on the showground. All rubbish to be taken home. It is expected all competitors have their own insurance. By entering any class you agree to abide by the above rules. Health and Safety The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards. Legal Liability The Mane Equestrian Centre takes no responsibility whatsoever for any damage or accident to persons, horses or property arising from the event. Any injuries must be reported to the secretary All competitors enter entirely at their own risk and hold their own public liability insurance
