Additional Event Information

Beginning from Miller's Dale car park this ride is approximately 8 miles long. Setting out along the Monsal Trail taking in tunnels and the iconic viaduct the route then takes to Bridleways and green lanes creating a circular and very scenic route. The majority of this ride is on tracks with a mixture of surfaces but there are some opportunities to have a canter if all riders are happy to do so. Most of this route is off road but a short section along a B classification road is necessary to connect back to the parking location. View the route demo video here: https://youtu.be/BZCPsqjsWAA Worth noting: The Monsal Trail is a multi user trail so cyclists and walkers with dogs are likely to be encountered. Sections of the route are steep (both up and down) and quite rocky so a relatively fit horse and balanced rider will be needed. There are often cows in fields adjacent to this route and it may be necessary to pass through pasture where they are grazing. Most of this route is off road but a short section along a B classification road is necessary to connect back to the parking location. Parking is in the Miller's Dale Monsal trail car park and is more suitable for trailers or smaller horseboxes. A 10'3" height bridge is situated on the entry road. This is a pay and display car park with maximum charges for horse transports of 7 for the whole day. Group sizes are limited to 6 riders plus guide. Payment of 35 per person secures your place on the ride. All riders must have their own BHS Gold or equivalent Public Liability Insurance and any riders under the age of 18 must be accompanied on the ride by an adult. Enquiries can be made by email, phone or via Facebook. Bookings can be made using the following link: https://app.squarespacescheduling.com/schedule.php?owner=23071415&appointmentType=25905155
