Additional Event InformationGuided ride with Bill Tait and Mel Mellor. 12 or 15 miles (depending on weather and ground conditions) in the southern part of the National Park. Passing 11th century St Gregory's Minster with its ancient sundial, we follow Hodge Beck, where in the 19th century 'the Hyenas' Den' was found, a cave of fossils of animals now found only in Africa. We continue to Gillamoor, with refreshments at The Royal Oak. We then ride via the ancient Shepherds' Road to Kirkbymoorside and back to the start venue. Includes river crossing - route will be changed if river levels make crossing dangerous. Max. 5 people. Cost: £30, starts 10am. Please contact organiser for booking.
