Guided ride with Bill Tait and Mel Mellor. 12 miles in the southern part of the National Park. Passing 11th century St Gregory's Minster with its ancient sundial, we follow Hodge Beck, where in the 19th century 'the Hyenas' Den' was found, a cave of fossils of animals now found only in Africa. We continue to Gillamoor and then ride via the ancient Shepherds' Road to Kirkbymoorside and back to the start venue. Includes river crossing - route will be changed if river levels make crossing dangerous. Max. 5 people. Cost: �30, starts 10am. Please contact organiser for booking.
