Additional Event Information

This slightly shorter route is ideal for those whose horses are building fitness. Starting from Middleton Top and approx 6 miles long this ride incorporates a very scenic portion of the High Peak Trail with commanding views across the valley to Matlock and beyond. Taking in part of the Midshires way and bridleways across open fields where there is an opportunity to canter if all riders are happy, it's a truly stunning route. View the route demo video at: https://youtu.be/2IFuYAcKkL8 Worth noting: The High Peak Trail is a multi-user trail and you will encounter bikes and walkers with dogs. Bridleways on this route cross farmland which may contain livestock such as Cows and Sheep. There are some small sections of roadwork on this ride. Parking is pay and display 4.50 for 2 hours, charges apply until 8pm All riders must have their own BHS Gold or equivalent Public Liability Insurance. Under 18s are welcome but must be accompanied on the ride by an adult rider. Group sizes are limited to 6+guide Places are changed at 38.50 per person.
