A delightful 7-mile circuit, new for 2026. We park on hard-standing and follow a bridleway through a grassy valley down to the edge of Thixendale village, then wind our way gently back uphill to the Aldro farm and plantation. From here there are magnificent views north to the Howardian Hills and Yorkshire Moors. The return section is along the Roman Road over the western Wolds. Traffic is normally infrequent and respectful, but this is a farming area so there may be tractors and lorries. Led by Janet Cochrane, start time 10am, entry fee �33.
