Additional Event Information
Approx 4 miles, this picturesque route takes in the bridleways and byways in the countryside surrounding Linacre Reservoir. Much of the route is in woodland, and there are some pleasing views in more open sections. This route is mainly off road, but there are two short sections on road, one of which takes in the pretty village of Bagthorpe. Going is surfaced throughout, and there is a little undulation and change of levels, just enough to make youngsters think what they are doing with their feet!
Worth Noting:
There is a small amount of roadwork.
Vehicular traffic, including farm machinery, may be encountered on some off road sections which access properties.
Going is at times rocky and uneven.
Livestock, including horses, will be encountered alongside the route.
Some sections are narrow and there may be hedge overgrowth so long sleeves are advisable.
Parking is best suited to smaller lorries and trailers. Max charge 3.50 for all day. Machines accept coins and cards. Toilet facilities available a short distance from the car park.
All riders must have their own Public Liability Insurance. Under 18s are welcome, but must be accompanied on the ride by an adult rider. Group size is limited to 6+ guide.
