Additional Event Information
Beautiful 7-mile ride led by Pip Mead in the south of the North York Moors through woods and farmland, mainly along bridleways with a few sections on quiet lanes. The route follows Hodge Beck, which runs through Kirkdale. Because of the area's geology, the stream sometimes disappears underground at times of low water then reappears further down the valley. You also pass 11th century St. Gregory's Minster, with its ancient sundial
The pace will be steady, at walk and trot (with an optional canter if you and your horse feel like it). We cross a small river a couple of times via fords. Max. 5 people. Entry fee 33, starts 10am. Please contact us for booking.
