Additional Event Information
This slightly shorter route is ideal for those whose horses are building experiance. Approx 5 miles long, this ride incorporates a very scenic portion of the High Peak Trail with commanding views across the valley to Matlock and beyond. Taking in part of the Midshires way, woodland, a small amount of road, and bridleways across open fields, it's a truly stunning route. There isi a good opportunity to try a canter out, or stick to walk and trot if preferred.

Worth noting: The High Peak Trail is a multi-user trail and you will encounter bikes and walkers with dogs.
Bridleways on this route cross farmland which may contain livestock such as Cows and Sheep.
There are some small sections of roadwork on this ride.
Parking is pay and display charged at 9 pounds for 4 hours,
All riders must have their own BHS Gold or equivalent Public Liability Insurance. Under 18s are welcome but on a first visit, must be accompanied on the ride by an adult rider. Group sizes are limited to 6+guide
