Starting on Appleton Common, we ride northwards across Spaunton Moor to Ana Cross, a medieval stone cross which marks an ancient route across the moor, then to the village of Lastingham, with its ancient crypt in the Church of St Mary's and the Blacksmith's Arms, where we stop for a drink. The ride is 10.5 miles and led by Pip Mead, on bridleways and small lanes. Start time 10.30, entry fee �40, max group size 5. Contact us for entry details.
