A varied 13-mile ride in Newtondale and Cropton Forest. We ride down into the valley to cross the Heritage Railway line, then up the other side to the pretty village of Levisham, passing the ruined 11th century Church of St. Mary. We then ride down to the railway line again and follow it for a mile or so before heading into Cropton Forest, to Newton-on-Rawcliffe for a welcome drink at the White Swan, then back to our parking place. There are several steep sections so your horse needs to be fit! Led by Pip Mead, max group size 6 riders, entry fee �40 (includes refreshments). Contact ride organiser for entry details.
