Additional Event Information

This entirely off road, approx 4 mile long route is a good option for inexperienced combinations. With surfaced tracks available throughout, this is a walk/trot only ride aimed at confidence building. Heading out, the route winds through woodland and alongside Mapperley Reservoir, before passing close by Shipley Hall on the return leg. Manageable challenges for novices include exposure to walkers with dogs or buggies, and cyclists. Worth noting: Trails in the country park are multi-user so it is likely cyclists, scooter riders, wheelchairs/mobility scooters and walkers with dogs or buggies will be encountered. There are short sections of stony going and some tracks are hardcore dressed. There is no road work but vehicles may be encountered on short sections which provide access to premises and car parks. Parking is chargeable, pay and display. Under 18s are welcome, but on a first visit must be accompanied on the ride by an adult. All horses and riders must have their own BHS Gold or equivalent Public Liability Insurance. Group size is limited to 6+guide. Places cost 40 and can be booked using the below link: https://app.acuityscheduling.com/schedule.php?owner=23071415&appointmentType=97954291 Please get in touch for more info.
